Policy

Safeguarding

This page describes our intended approach and is being finalised ahead of launch.

Our commitment

Every child's safety and wellbeing comes first in how SisuBloom is designed and delivered. This page sets out our approach in plain language for parents and caregivers.

Scope

This policy covers SisuBloom's online sessions, communications and website: everywhere a child might interact with SisuBloom or a SisuGuide.

The online learning environment

Children learn in small, live online groups led directly by a SisuGuide: not a pre-recorded course, and not communication that happens off-platform. Parents can see who is working with their child throughout.

Expectations of SisuGuides

SisuGuides are expected to conduct every session professionally, treat every child with respect, and raise any concern about a child's welfare promptly.

Expectations of children

Children are asked to treat their SisuGuide and fellow students with respect, and to follow the same standards of behaviour expected in any classroom, online or otherwise.

Expectations of parents and caregivers

We ask parents and caregivers to ensure their child attends sessions in an appropriate environment, to keep contact details up to date, and to raise any concern with us directly and promptly.

Appropriate online behaviour

Sessions are structured, supervised and kept within the platform SisuBloom uses to deliver the programme. Communication with children stays within that structure rather than through personal messaging or social media.

Cameras and recordings

Where any part of a session is recorded, this will be explained clearly to parents in advance, and handled in line with our Privacy Notice.

Reporting a concern

If you have any safeguarding concern, however small, please contact us at info@sisubloom.org.

Responding to concerns

We take every concern seriously and will respond as promptly as we can.
