Privacy Notice

Who SisuBloom is

SisuBloom is an online reading, writing and thinking academy for children aged 7–15. This notice explains what personal information we collect through this website, why, and what choices you have.

Information you provide to us

We collect what you give us directly:

• Registering interest: parent/caregiver name, email, telephone number if you choose to give it, country/time zone if you choose to give it, your child's age band, the programme you're interested in, how you'd like to begin, and any optional message.
• Contacting us: your name, email, the topic of your enquiry, and your message.
• Booking a consultation: once live, booking will be handled through Calendly. Calendly will collect what it needs to schedule the call (typically name, email and time zone), under its own privacy practices; details will be added here before that goes live. No consultation booking system is connected yet.
• Newsletter subscription: your email address, if you choose to subscribe. This is not yet connected to a live email system.

We deliberately do not ask for your child's full name, medical information, school details, or safeguarding information through these forms.

Payments

Payments are intended to be handled by Stripe. SisuBloom does not directly collect or store your card details: Stripe processes payment information under its own security standards and privacy practices. Stripe is not yet connected on this site.

Website analytics and cookies

This site does not currently use analytics or non-essential cookies. If that changes in future, this notice will be updated in advance to explain what is used and why.

Children's information

Our public forms ask a parent or caregiver for limited information about a child (an age band only, never a full name, date of birth, or medical/school/safeguarding detail) so that we can respond appropriately to your enquiry. See also "Children's privacy" below.

Why we use this information

We use the information described above to respond to your enquiry, arrange and hold a consultation, process registration and payment for a chosen programme, deliver the programme itself, and (only if you subscribe) send newsletter updates.

Our lawful basis

We rely on an appropriate lawful basis for each use of personal data, such as taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with us, or your consent where that's required (for example, for the newsletter).

Service providers

Depending on which part of the site you use, information may be shared with the service providers who help us run it: Stripe (payments), Calendly (consultation scheduling), Brevo (email), and Cloudflare (hosting). Each acts under its own privacy and security practices.

International transfers

Some of our service providers may process information outside the UK. Where that happens, appropriate safeguards apply.

How long we keep information

We keep personal information only for as long as necessary for the purposes described above.

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect the personal information we hold.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law, you generally have the right to ask us to: give you access to the personal information we hold about you; correct inaccurate information; delete information in certain circumstances; restrict or object to certain processing; and receive information you've provided in a portable format. Children's privacy

SisuBloom's public website and enquiry forms are directed at parents and caregivers, not at children browsing unsupervised. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from a child through this website without a parent or caregiver's involvement.

We may update this notice from time to time, including as the site moves from preview to live. Significant changes will be reflected here with an updated date once the site is live.
